How to Install Wave Executor

Before you start

Install these from Microsoft's and Node.js's official websites, then restart your PC:

• .NET 6 and .NET 8 Desktop Runtime (x64)
• Visual C++ Redistributable — x64 and x86
• Node.js (LTS)

Uninstall any separate Bloxstrap before installing Wave — Wave installs its own copy.

Install and activate

1. After checkout, check your email — including Spam — for your license key.
2. Download Wave only from the official website linked in your delivery guide.
3. Run Wave-Setup.exe and press Install.
4. In Wave, press Register and create an account with a username, email and password.
5. Press the key icon and enter your license key.
6. Open Wave.exe to inject, then open Roblox.

Run and auto-execute scripts

1. Open the Wave main menu.
2. Paste your script.
3. Open Roblox, join a game and press Execute.

For auto-execute, put your script in the AutoExecute folder inside Wave's main folder as a .luau file. Details: How to auto-execute scripts.

After a Roblox update

When Roblox updates, Wave can be limited until its developers ship a fix — usually within 6–24 hours. According to the Wave team, key time lost to downtime is compensated. Watch the status page.

Troubleshooting

Wave isn't downloading

1. Pause your antivirus as described in your delivery guide.
2. Remove third-party antivirus or browser security extensions, then try again.

Wave crashes on launch

1. Add the Wave folder to your antivirus exclusions.
2. Clear %temp% (Win + R → %temp%).
3. Delete the Wave folder from %localappdata%.
4. Download Wave again and run it as administrator.

Wave isn't injecting

1. Add the Wave folder to your antivirus exclusions.
2. Clear %temp% and your cache.
3. Reinstall VC Redist x64 and x86, Node.js and .NET 6, then restart your PC.

WaveInstaller.exe crashes

1. Download the installer again — over a VPN if it fails.
2. Install VC Redist x64 and x86 and restart your PC.

No workspace / no Execute button

1. Delete the Wave folder from %localappdata%\Programs.
2. Run the Wave installer as administrator.
3. Reinstall VC Redist x64/x86, Node.js and .NET 6, then restart.
4. Still missing? Ask us on Discord for the official fix tool.

Registry mismatch error (0x700001)

1. Close Wave.
2. Delete the Wave folder from %localappdata% and from %temp%.
3. Download Wave again.

Access denied: Bloxstrap.exe

1. Close Wave and Roblox.
2. Delete the Bloxstrap folder from %localappdata%.
3. Run Wave.

Non-zero exit code

1. Add Wave to your antivirus exclusions and reinstall Roblox.
2. Delete the Wave folders from %localappdata% and %temp%, download Wave again and run it as administrator.
3. Install the latest Windows updates.

EPERM operation not permitted

1. Move bloxstrap.exe from %localappdata%\Programs\Wave\Bin to %localappdata%\Bloxstrap.

Wave requires elevated permissions

1. Open %localappdata%\Programs\Wave and run Wave as administrator.

ClientManager exited with code 0

1. Restart your PC.
2. Add Wave to your antivirus exclusions and reinstall Roblox.
3. Delete Wave from %temp% and %localappdata%\Programs, then run wave.exe as administrator.
4. Make sure Windows is up to date.

Errors 1010 / 1008 / 1001

1. Install .NET 8 and .NET 6 Desktop Runtime (x64), Windows Desktop Runtime 3.1 (x64) and VC Redist x86 and x64.
2. Restart your PC, close unneeded apps and run Wave as administrator.

Internal error

1. Smart App Control is usually blocking Wave. Your delivery guide shows how to handle it.
2. Fully close Wave and open it again.

Invalid key

1. Connect through a VPN such as Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 (WARP) or Proton VPN (both free), then try again. Some networks and ISPs block the executor's servers.
2. Open Command Prompt as administrator and run ipconfig /flushdns.
3. Settings → Time & language → Date & time → Sync now.
4. Reinstall Wave fully.

Version mismatch

1. Install the Roblox version Wave supports and open Roblox from that folder — see How to downgrade Roblox.

Authentication failed

1. New hardware, Windows reinstalls or HWID spoofers change your HWID. Message us on Discord for an HWID reset.
2. If a script kicks you asking for an HWID reset, reset it in that script's Discord instead.

Does Wave need Bloxstrap?

Wave installs Bloxstrap automatically. Remove any separate Bloxstrap install first.

Why does Wave stop working after a Roblox update?

Every Roblox update changes the client. Wave usually ships a fix within 6–24 hours.
